Overview

For most of his life, Ben was inherently lazy when it came to physical activity. He played sports when he was young and excelled in high school sports, but still considered himself lazy. All of this caught up with him over the years, along with generally poor lifestyle habits. At the age of 33, Ben decided to make some changes in his life. A year into his new journey he felt he had the capacity to commit to improving his physical health and got to a gym. Getting to the gym wasn't easy for Ben, but once he started he never looked back.


In August of 2012, Ben was 195 pounds and his body fat was just over 31%. He could do 2 pull ups, 15 push-ups, and could not run a mile in under 14 minutes. By October of 2013, Ben was 155 pounds, averaged around 9% body fat, could do 25 pull ups, 80 push-ups, and his fastest mile was 6:36. 


In addition to starting at a gym, Ben also finished his Associate Degree in Business Management and started a new degree in Exercise Science. Ben has earned the following certifications: 
ACE Certified Personal Trainer 
TRX Certified Instructor
